The riad has been completely renovated according to Moroccan traditions, with creative artisans who have used all traditional techniques giving a unique charm to the house.

The little story of Ryad Watier

The Ryad Watier is nestled in the heart of the Essaouira medina. Its large traditional door, renovated with the know-how of Moroccan craftsmanship, opens onto a small discreet square where the neighborhood children meet to play around the fountain.

The Ryad Watier is a former school … Abandoned, fallen into disuse, it has been completely rebuilt to turn into a welcoming riad for lovers of peaceful vacations and getaways “out of time”. There is total immersion in the charm of Moroccan traditions, from the kitchen to the furniture and terraces, from the lounges with fireplace, to the large suites carefully decorated with local crafts.

For the record, the riad pays tribute to Watier, inspector of water and forests who saved Essaouira from silting up by directing the major work to fix the dunes that surround the city. Thanks to him, Essaouira and its bay have been preserved …

The “fisherman’s hut”, made of solid wood on the roof of the ryad, was designed during confinement in order to provide a workspace powered by a dedicated router and connected by optical fiber.
This bright and airy space is also used in bad weather as a refuge to have breakfast sheltered from bad weather.

Half-board

In the tradition of guesthouses, you can have diner in the evening at the riad. The menus are composed day by day, according to the wishes of the guests and the fresh products from the market.

• Traditional Moroccan massages: € 30
• Additional adult bed: 25 € per night
• Additional child bed (2 to 12 years old): € 15 per night

Booking and cancellation conditions :

• Sending bank details (numbers, expiration date and crypto) in 3 separate e-mails or by fax. No amount will be debited from the credit card.
• If the customer cancels between 30 days and 21 days before arrival: 30% of the entire stay will be debited from the customer’s credit card by the establishment.
• If the customer cancels between 20 days and 11 days before: 50% of the entire stay will be debited from the customer’s credit card by the establishment.
• If the customer cancels between 10 days and his day of arrival: 100% of the entire stay will be debited from the customer’s credit card by the establishment.
